Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vilberg Árbjartsson got the match started through his kick off. Dvalinn Valbergsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Aloyzas Tolvaiša tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rósar Þorrason took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siguroddur Gissurarson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dvalinn Valbergsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Gullbrá Stað booed when Gömlu Skordýrin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tístran Hrútsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kristall Oddvarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Örn Björgólfsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloyzas Tolvaiša having to interfere. After having played for 28 minutes, Vilberg Árbjartsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gullbrá Stað's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vilberg Árbjartsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Dvalinn Valbergsson put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Aloyzas Tolvaiša. After 38 played minutes Gullbrá Stað got a freekick which was hit by Illugi Borgþórsson. After a rather tough play, Gullbrá Stað's Jörgen Logason got a free kick in the 39th minute. Sigurgísli Baldursson hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Örn Björgólfsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dvalinn Valbergsson made a kick off. In the 58th minute Örn Björgólfsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloyzas Tolvaiša saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristall Oddvarsson struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Rósar Þorrason didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gullbrá Stað. Rósar Þorrason showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilberg Árbjartsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Dvalinn Valbergsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aloyzas Tolvaiša having to make a save. Gömlu Skordýrin's Dvalinn Valbergsson got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hendrik Lárusson hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Erpur Kjaransson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rósar Þorrason. Gömlu Skordýrin's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rósar Þorrason didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vilberg Árbjartsson went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Aloyzas Tolvaiša made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dvalinn Valbergsson in the 87th minute of play. Jörgen Logason's late challenge caught a Gömlu Skordýrin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jörgen Logason helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, Gullbrá Stað was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörgen Logason to maneuver through the defense.
