Mímir Geislason ran back to his position shaking his head. Mímir Geislason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörundur Ingvarsson having to interfere. If Hagbert Pétursson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sigtryggur Adolfsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ragnar Friðriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hagbert Pétursson made a kick off. Eldar Gestsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörundur Ingvarsson having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Sigtryggur Adolfsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58thth minute of the game Hagbert Pétursson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tófurnar Flatey's Ragnar Friðriksson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ragnar Friðriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigtryggur Adolfsson in the 61st minute of the match. Hagbert Pétursson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ragnar Friðriksson having to interfere. The nice shot from Mímir Geislason in the 70thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Jörundur Ingvarsson had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Minkarnir Vogum:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tófurnar Flatey:s goal. After 75 minutes of play, Tófurnar Flatey's Hallur Þorrason made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jörundur Ingvarsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 83 minutes, Eldar Gestsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tófurnar Flatey's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eldar Gestsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ragnar Friðriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hagbert Pétursson in the 85th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eldar Gestsson in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jörundur Ingvarsson saved Minkarnir Vogum from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sigurgeir Þorgerisson during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tófurnar Flatey booed when Minkarnir Vogum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigurgeir Þorgerisson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tófurnar Flatey played a much better game than Minkarnir Vogum and deserved their victory. The Minkarnir Vogum players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
