Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 4 minutes, Þorvar Jökulsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hólar Búðardal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Þorvar Jökulsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dagfinnur Jökulsson kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Sigurfinnur Vífilsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Víkingur Rafnkelsson in the 10th minute of play. Þorvar Jökulsson scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brynþór Ingólfsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Flóki Þorleifsson charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flóki Þorleifsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes Skarp Bæ got a freekick which was hit by Flóki Þorleifsson. Þorvar Jökulsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brynþór Ingólfsson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flóki Þorleifsson in the 26th minute of play forced Hólar Búðardal's goalkeeper Sigurfinnur Vífilsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Skarp Bæ's Víkingur Rafnkelsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sigurfinnur Vífilsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hólar Búðardal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! Kornelíus Jafetsson walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sigurfinnur Vífilsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Edvard Sigurjónsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brynþór Ingólfsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edvard Sigurjónsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Kolbjörn Árbjartsson's late challenge caught a Skarp Bæ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kolbjörn Árbjartsson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Skarp Bæ booed when Hólar Búðardal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kolbjörn Árbjartsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Víkingur Rafnkelsson came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Skarp Bæ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víkingur Rafnkelsson couldn't finish the play. Flóki Þorleifsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sigurfinnur Vífilsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flóki Þorleifsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Flóki Þorleifsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigurfinnur Vífilsson having to interfere.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Víkingur Rafnkelsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Þorvar Jökulsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute of the match Austar Þrándsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brynþór Ingólfsson skillfully saved the ball. Hólar Búðardal's Edvard Sigurjónsson got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute Víkingur Rafnkelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigurfinnur Vífilsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brynþór Ingólfsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Þorvar Jökulsson in the 61st minute of play. Edvard Sigurjónsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brynþór Ingólfsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Lýður Hænsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skarp Bæ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hólar Búðardal the free kick. Lýður Hænsson kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Hólar Búðardal's Fjölnir Hallmundsson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Flóki Þorleifsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigurfinnur Vífilsson having to interfere. Brynþór Ingólfsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvard Sigurjónsson in the 83rd minute of play. After 84 minutes, Klængur Þórhallsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hólar Búðardal and the Skarp Bæ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Klængur Þórhallsson hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Edvard Sigurjónsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Hólar Búðardal getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Hersteinn Arnbergsson hit a great ball. Hólar Búðardal's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
