Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Edvard Sigurjónsson made the kick off which started today's match. With his leg Sigurfinnur Vífilsson managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when Virka Kópavogi's Sandri Dagfinnsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Virka Kópavogi's zone, Þorvar Jökulsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dór Lúðvíksson came out of the goal and Þorvar Jökulsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute Rafn Böðvarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigurfinnur Vífilsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rafn Böðvarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edvard Sigurjónsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dór Lúðvíksson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edvard Sigurjónsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Sigurfinnur Vífilsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafn Böðvarsson in the 28th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Þorvar Jökulsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dór Lúðvíksson was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Rafn Böðvarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Sigurfinnur Vífilsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandri Dagfinnsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sigurfinnur Vífilsson having to make a save. If Sandri Dagfinnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edvard Sigurjónsson in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dór Lúðvíksson saved Virka Kópavogi from getting behind. Dór Lúðvíksson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Þorvar Jökulsson went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafn Böðvarsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Þorvar Jökulsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Dór Lúðvíksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dór Lúðvíksson made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Þorvar Jökulsson sent off a good shot on target. When Edvard Sigurjónsson came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Hólar Búðardal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvard Sigurjónsson couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Virka Kópavogi's Dór Lúðvíksson got control of the ball when Þorvar Jökulsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Þorvar Jökulsson got free with Dór Lúðvíksson in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sigurfinnur Vífilsson came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Virka Kópavogi's Sandri Dagfinnsson. But to his dismay, Sandri Dagfinnsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 71st minute, Svanlaugur Hjörvarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, Virka Kópavogi's Þórbergur Hálfdánsson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Þorvar Jökulsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dór Lúðvíksson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edvard Sigurjónsson's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Svanlaugur Hjörvarsson hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Virka Kópavogi's Þórbergur Hálfdánsson tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 88 minutes, Edvard Sigurjónsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hólar Búðardal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edvard Sigurjónsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kolbjörn Árbjartsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Dór Lúðvíksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
