After a defensive mix-up in Ýmus Eskifirði's zone, Húnbogi Arndórsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aríus Dalmarsson came out of the goal and Húnbogi Arndórsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 13 minutes, Húnbogi Arndórsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Legacy Master and the Ýmus Eskifirði players grew even worse after the yellow card. Húnbogi Arndórsson hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. With splendid footwork Gerald Mattíasson arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 16th minute. After 19 minutes of play, Ýmus Eskifirði's Finn Eyjólfsson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Margeir Loftsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute, Ýmus Eskifirði's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gerald Mattíasson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Gerald Mattíasson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aríus Dalmarsson. That made the score 2-1 in the 27 minute of play. If Húnbogi Arndórsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 minutes of play, Legacy Master's Gerald Mattíasson made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The referee ignored Ýmus Eskifirði's protests and gave Albert Njarðarson a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Legacy Master a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hjálmþór Tryggvason, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ýmus Eskifirði's Aríus Dalmarsson. 5-1. Finn Eyjólfsson's late challenge caught a Legacy Master's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Finn Eyjólfsson helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 97 minutes, Húnbogi Arndórsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Legacy Master's supporters crossed their fingers, but Húnbogi Arndórsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
