Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Styrbjörn Sverrisson kicked off to start the match. The supporters of KS Hellu booed when Sýklarnir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gellir Þorvaldsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freymar Adolfsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reginn Ormarsson. Sýklarnir's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Styrbjörn Sverrisson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginn Ormarsson having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Styrbjörn Sverrisson notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Sýklarnir's Reginn Ormarsson. Reginn Ormarsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Styrbjörn Sverrissons short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Reginn Ormarsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. KS Hellu's Hnikar Baldursson got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26thth minute of the game Hólmar Dagbjartsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sýklarnir's Reginn Ormarsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Sýklarnir's Reginn Ormarsson got control of the ball when Styrbjörn Sverrisson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Styrbjörn Sverrisson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Reginn Ormarsson, 2-0. With his leg Reginn Ormarsson managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when KS Hellu's Hólmar Dagbjartsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hannes Þorsteinsson during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Sýklarnir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hannes Þorsteinsson to maneuver through the defense. Reginn Ormarsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Styrbjörn Sverrisson in the 38th minute. KS Hellu's Hnikar Baldursson got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sváfnir Björnsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Styrbjörn Sverrisson in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reginn Ormarsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Sýklarnir getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Gnúpur Gautsson hit a great ball. Reginn Ormarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valíant Hafsteinsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. If Gnúpur Gautsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Styrbjörn Sverrisson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Reginn Ormarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Styrbjörn Sverrisson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reginn Ormarsson. Sýklarnir's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Styrbjörn Sverrisson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 73rd match minute, KS Hellu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heiðmar Konráðsson to maneuver through the defense. Reginn Ormarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heiðmar Konráðsson in the 76th minute of the match. Reginn Ormarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Styrbjörn Sverrisson in the 77th minute of play. Baldur Pálmason kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Sýklarnir's Reginn Ormarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Styrbjörn Sverrisson in the 81st minute of play. Gnúpur Gautsson's late challenge caught a KS Hellu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gnúpur Gautsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd minute, Gnúpur Gautsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 83 minutes of play, KS Hellu's Styrbjörn Sverrisson made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reginn Ormarsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Reginn Ormarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Styrbjörn Sverrisson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the game, Hólmar Dagbjartsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Reginn Ormarsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the KS Hellu players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
