Valentín Sigmarsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Glitra's goalkeeper Alfred Sighvatsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Spectra Húsavík's zone, Þórörn Hafsteinsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentín Sigmarsson came out of the goal and Þórörn Hafsteinsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Þórörn Hafsteinsson made a precise shot to the right of Valentín Sigmarsson. Spectra Húsavík's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Bergur Árbjartsson kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kristþór Hlynsson made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Logi Arnþórsson got free with Valentín Sigmarsson in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Spectra Húsavík getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Bergur Árbjartsson hit a great ball. Þórörn Hafsteinsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, Spectra Húsavík's goal looked a bit too open when Marinó Hjartarsson came free, but Valentín Sigmarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heinrekur Unnarsson's late challenge caught a Glitra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Heinrekur Unnarsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Spectra Húsavík was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heinrekur Unnarsson to maneuver through the defense. If Þórörn Hafsteinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
