Sigurbjarni Loftsson scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davíð Eyvindarson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Hamra Grenivík's zone, Sigurbjarni Loftsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davíð Eyvindarson came out of the goal and Sigurbjarni Loftsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sírus Úlfarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sigurdór Ingason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Hamra Grenivík's Nikolai Goðmundsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ómi Kjartansson. That made the score 1-3 after 34 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Uppfylling's Valbrandur Jökulsson got a free kick in the 36th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Sírus Úlfarsson notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Hamra Grenivík's Davíð Eyvindarson. Davíð Eyvindarson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Sigurbjarni Loftsson put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Davíð Eyvindarson. A collision led to Hamra Grenivík getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Sírnir Finnbjörnsson hit a great ball. Davíð Eyvindarson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sigurbjarni Loftsson's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. After the first half Uppfylling were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Garpur Guðmarsson to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Sigurbjarni Loftsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hamra Grenivík's Davíð Eyvindarson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Uppfylling's Bernhard Eðvarsson got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sigurbjarni Loftsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Davíð Eyvindarson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Uppfylling's Sigurbjarni Loftsson got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Randver Unnarsson's late challenge caught a Uppfylling's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Randver Unnarsson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Hamra Grenivík getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Randver Unnarsson hit a great ball. Sigurbjarni Loftsson struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Davíð Eyvindarson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uppfylling. Davíð Eyvindarson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sírus Úlfarsson in the 65th minute. Sigurbjarni Loftsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Davíð Eyvindarson made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Sírus Úlfarsson sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Sigurbjarni Loftsson put it in 1-6 from a short distance just to the right of Davíð Eyvindarson. 78 minutes into the game, Demus Gunnlaugsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uppfylling's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hamra Grenivík the free kick. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Uppfylling! Bernhard Eðvarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davíð Eyvindarson having to interfere. After 83 played minutes Hamra Grenivík got a freekick which was hit by Sírnir Finnbjörnsson. Valbrandur Jökulsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Davíð Eyvindarson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valbrandur Jökulsson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamra Grenivík's goalkeeper Davíð Eyvindarson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garpur Guðmarsson in the 96th minute of play forced Uppfylling's goalkeeper Ómi Kjartansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uppfylling's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
