Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Funi Hingsson got the match started through his kick off. Sigurjón Geraldsson came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Santa Kjörvogi's Fjólar Ásgeirsson. But to his dismay, Fjólar Ásgeirsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Santa Kjörvogi's Fjólar Ásgeirsson got a free kick in the 9th minute. Dan Ingimarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Santa Kjörvogi's goal looked a bit too open when Aðalbergur Boðason came free, but Heinrekur Sigmundarson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santa Kjörvogi's Heinrekur Sigmundarson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Ingimarsson in the 34th minute of play. Sigurjón Geraldsson came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Santa Kjörvogi's Funi Hingsson. But to his dismay, Funi Hingsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Goð Kópaskeri's Aðalbergur Boðason got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aðalbergur Boðason's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heinrekur Sigmundarson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Aðalbergur Boðason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heinrekur Sigmundarson having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aðalbergur Boðason made a kick off. If Dan Ingimarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aðalbergur Boðason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Heinrekur Sigmundarson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Goð Kópaskeri's Dan Ingimarsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Heinrekur Sigmundarson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aðalbergur Boðason in the 64th minute of play forced Santa Kjörvogi's goalkeeper Heinrekur Sigmundarson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Funi Hingsson made a precise shot to the right of Sigurjón Geraldsson. Goð Kópaskeri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Bjartmar Hannibalsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Heinrekur Sigmundarson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Santa Kjörvogi's Þórhaddur Leifsson got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Þorvarður Kolsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sigurjón Geraldsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Skafti Vífilsson in the 80th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Skafti Vífilsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sigurjón Geraldsson. Goð Kópaskeri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Skafti Vífilsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Goð Kópaskeri's Sveinberg Ágústsson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Þórhaddur Leifsson, made in the 85th minute of the game. In the 86th minute, Sveinberg Ágústsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Heinrekur Sigmundarson. The goal made the score 5-1. In the 92nd minute Þorvarður Kolsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heinrekur Sigmundarson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Dan Ingimarsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Heinrekur Sigmundarson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Heinrekur Sigmundarson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aðalbergur Boðason, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Santa Kjörvogi support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
