But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karvel Ólason couldn't finish the play. Móar Stokkseyri's Bæringur Þormóðsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dagfinnur Eiðsson in the 18th minute of play. Geirleifur Gregorsson charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geirleifur Gregorsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th minute, Geirleifur Gregorsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Svanhólm Þrándsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steindór Vilhelmsson in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Kristdór Ásbjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dagfinnur Eiðsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Karvel Ólason ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Svanhólm Þrándsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Móar Stokkseyri booed when Nexus Dalvík was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilbergur Ákason didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Dagfinnur Eiðsson made the kick off in the second half. Karvel Ólason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svanhólm Þrándsson having to interfere. Karvel Ólason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the game, one of Nexus Dalvík:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Móar Stokkseyri. Húnbogi Darrason stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Svanhólm Þrándsson. 2-1. Steindór Vilhelmsson took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Svanhólm Þrándsson. Svanhólm Þrándsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Steindór Vilhelmsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svanhólm Þrándsson having to interfere. With his leg Bæringur Þormóðsson managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Nexus Dalvík's Rúrik Hermansson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Karvel Ólason struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Svanhólm Þrándsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Móar Stokkseyri. Dagfinnur Eiðsson's late challenge caught a Móar Stokkseyri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dagfinnur Eiðsson helped the player get up and apologised. Dagfinnur Eiðsson kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Steindór Vilhelmsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Svanhólm Þrándsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Móar Stokkseyri players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
