After 14 played minutes Vernd Grindavík got a freekick which was hit by Dalvin Ingjaldsson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalvin Ingjaldsson in the 16th minute of play forced Höldur's goalkeeper Flóki Daníelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Össur Aðalmundsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanúel Valbergsson in the 20th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Höldur got a freekick which was hit by Kristmar Arnþórsson. Flóki Daníelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalvin Ingjaldsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Höldur's Jónmundur Svanbergsson got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Flóki Daníelsson made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson sent off a good shot on target. Dalvin Ingjaldsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Dalvin Ingjaldsson lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Flóki Daníelsson. If Dalvin Ingjaldsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Höldur's goal looked a bit too open when Dalvin Ingjaldsson came free, but Flóki Daníelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flóki Daníelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalvin Ingjaldsson in the 44th minute of the match. Dalvin Ingjaldsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flóki Daníelsson having to interfere. Flóki Daníelsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Höldur's Flóki Daníelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalvin Ingjaldsson in the 52nd minute of play. If Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flóki Daníelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to Vernd Grindavík getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Tryggvi Loðmundsson hit a great ball. During the 75th minute of the match Bergþór Borgþórsson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bergþór Borgþórsson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Bergþór Borgþórsson hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Flóki Daníelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dalvin Lárusson hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Flóki Daníelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson in the 93rd minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Vernd Grindavík fully deserved thier win.
