After a rather tough play, Flink Kópaskeri's Soffanías Emilsson got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 34 minutes of play, Flink Kópaskeri's Soffanías Emilsson made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Georg Hannesson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Skúta Ákason made the kick off in the second half. Kristmundur Þorkelsson was a little too slow when Hagbarður Nikulásarson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hagbarður Nikulásarson got free with Kristmundur Þorkelsson in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute Soffanías Emilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Hannesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Flink Kópaskeri's Kristmundur Þorkelsson got control of the ball when Hagbarður Nikulásarson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Georg Hannesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdór Orrason in the 62nd minute of the match.
