After 9 minutes of play, Habo Grindavík's Geirarður Knútsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herleifur Randversson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sjónarhóll Vík's Herleifur Randversson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barri Hauksson in the 17th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geirarður Knútsson in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herleifur Randversson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geirarður Knútsson in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herleifur Randversson saved Sjónarhóll Vík from getting behind. If Geirarður Knútsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Habo Grindavík's Fjörnir Vilmarsson got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Herleifur Randversson came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Habo Grindavík's Geirarður Knútsson. But to his dismay, Geirarður Knútsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. After 34 minutes of play, Habo Grindavík's Safír Geislason made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herleifur Randversson was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Safír Geislason sped through Sjónarhóll Vík's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Herleifur Randversson. In the 43rdth minute of the game Geirarður Knútsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sjónarhóll Vík's Herleifur Randversson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barri Hauksson in the 46th minute of play forced Sjónarhóll Vík's goalkeeper Herleifur Randversson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47th play minutes Geirarður Knútsson shot 0-8, a short shot which went by Herleifur Randversson and just under the crossbar into goal. After the first half Habo Grindavík were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonard Játvarðarson made a kick off. Barri Hauksson might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herleifur Randversson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barri Hauksson ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Habo Grindavík's Geirarður Knútsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Herleifur Randversson. That made the score 0-10 after 62 minutes of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Geirarður Knútsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sjónarhóll Vík's Herleifur Randversson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Snæbjörn Ellertsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Habo Grindavík's supporters rose to their feet, but Snæbjörn Ellertsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herleifur Randversson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fjörnir Guðbjartsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geirarður Knútsson in the 76th managed to get into a good position. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sjónarhóll Vík's goalie and right to Barri Hauksson. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sjónarhóll Vík's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Fjörnir Vilmarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ernst Játmundsson scored 0-13 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herleifur Randversson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute Geirarður Knútsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herleifur Randversson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herleifur Randversson stood somewhat misplaced when Geirarður Knútsson came free in front of goal and shot 0-14 to the left of him in the 90 minute. Freysteinn Emilsson kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geirarður Knútsson in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herleifur Randversson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Sjónarhóll Vík fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Habo Grindavík were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
