Krister Þrándsson made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Dvalinn Steinsson sent off a good shot on target. Hafni Árnason kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. A well placed Þorlaugur Kjartansson short distance shot in the 14th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. 17 minutes into the match, Samsýn Hólmavík's goal looked a bit too open when Þorlaugur Kjartansson came free, but Krister Þrándsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Krister Þrándsson managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Akkur Flúðum's Dvalinn Steinsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Illugi Ingólfsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krister Þrándsson having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Þorlaugur Kjartansson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Krister Þrándsson was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dvalinn Steinsson in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Krister Þrándsson saved Samsýn Hólmavík from getting behind. After 70 minutes, Þorlaugur Kjartansson made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Samsýn Hólmavík's Krister Þrándsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Freymundur Finnbogason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner led Akkur Flúðum's Herleifur Baugsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Krister Þrándsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jóann Sigurjónsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Végeir Geirfinnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
