An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Itzaina in the 6th minute of play forced Fjelsted Vík's goalkeeper Valur Eyjólfsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Elínbergur Elbertsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reikiavik. United. F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Elínbergur Elbertsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elínbergur Elbertsson couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Fjelsted Vík's zone, Justino Itzaina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valur Eyjólfsson came out of the goal and Justino Itzaina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 20th play minutes Elínbergur Elbertsson shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Valur Eyjólfsson and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of Reikiavik. United. F.C. booed when Fjelsted Vík was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daggeir Kristbjörnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elínbergur Elbertsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Valur Eyjólfsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, Fjelsted Vík was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hemmert Sigmundarson to maneuver through the defense. If Korneliusz Mielak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinand Hjartarsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ferdínand Grímsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Ferdinand Hjartarsson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 35th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Fjelsted Vík's goal looked a bit too open when Elís Oddmarsson came free, but Valur Eyjólfsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Jason Indriðason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daggeir Kristbjörnsson hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The supporters of Reikiavik. United. F.C. booed when Fjelsted Vík was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daggeir Kristbjörnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reikiavik. United. F.C.'s Maron Gabríelsson was substituted for Elínbergur Elbertsson. In the 57th minute, Daggeir Kristbjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maron Gabríelsson in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valur Eyjólfsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute, Hemmert Sigmundarson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Elís Oddmarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maron Gabríelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute Ferdinand Hjartarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdínand Grímsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Víglundur Hingsson kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Valur Eyjólfsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justino Itzaina's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fjelsted Vík's zone, Justino Itzaina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valur Eyjólfsson came out of the goal and Justino Itzaina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jóhannes Valgeirsson lost his temper 91 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card.
