Völur Ólafsvík's Berent Magnason got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Þýsku Tærnar's Nicolas Anelka got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Berent Magnason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Filippus Geislason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aríel Traustason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 minutes of play, Þýsku Tærnar's Nicolas Anelka made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dómaldi Valsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berent Magnason during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Völur Ólafsvík getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Berent Magnason hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Hallur Þórhallsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aríel Traustason stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aríel Traustason in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filippus Geislason prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Berent Magnason could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Filippus Geislason made a huge save. In the 54th minute, Völur Ólafsvík's Berent Magnason ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Filippus Geislason. Filippus Geislason yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 57th minute Nicolas Anelka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dómaldi Valsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berent Magnason could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Filippus Geislason made a huge save. In the 60th match minute, Völur Ólafsvík was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertel Rúnarsson to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Berent Magnason could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Filippus Geislason however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Anelka in the 65th minute of play forced Völur Ólafsvík's goalkeeper Dómaldi Valsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dómaldi Valsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingiþór Boðason, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If Ingiþór Boðason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Anelka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the game, Kolur Galdursson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Þýsku Tærnar's Teitur Gunnbergsson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Völur Ólafsvík's Dómaldi Valsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingiþór Boðason in the 87th minute of play. Ingiþór Boðason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dómaldi Valsson having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Nicolas Anelka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Þýsku Tærnar's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Anelka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dómaldi Valsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aríel Traustason in the 96th minute of play forced Þýsku Tærnar's goalkeeper Filippus Geislason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Þýsku Tærnar had played much better football throughout.
