Guðfinnur Oddsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Friður Daðason could save by the left post. 19 minutes into the match, 郝朋钢 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Friður Daðason. Engey Reykholti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 郝朋钢 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 郝朋钢 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orlof Blönduósi's Jóndór Snæfinnsson got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Engey Reykholti's Friður Daðason proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Engey Reykholti from getting a goal against them. Friður Daðason stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jóndór Snæfinnsson's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute, Orlof Blönduósi's Jóndór Snæfinnsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Guðfinnur Oddsson struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Friður Daðason didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orlof Blönduósi. In the 45th minute, 郝朋钢 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Friður Daðason made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Guðfinnur Oddsson sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Friður Daðason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guðfinnur Oddsson in the 57th minute of play forced Engey Reykholti's goalkeeper Friður Daðason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Sólmundur Reynisson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 61st minute, Guðfinnur Oddsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steinn Daníelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Guðfinnur Oddsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Engey Reykholti's goalkeeper Friður Daðason, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There was no doubt that Orlof Blönduósi were the better team. Orlof Blönduósi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
