Friður Daðason showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lindar Gylfason, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Daði Jökulsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Friður Daðason having to interfere. Valur Eyjólfsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Þorleikur Níelsson in the 16th minute of the match. Valur Eyjólfsson was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Patrekur Runólfsson. Níels Þorsteinsson kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Friður Daðason took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lindar Gylfason, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Engey Reykholti getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Otti Jónasson hit a great ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Lindar Gylfason managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fjelsted Vík's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lindar Gylfason was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Friður Daðason showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daði Jökulsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 43 minutes into the game, Fjelsted Vík's Lindar Gylfason nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Friður Daðason made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Þorleikur Níelsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Fjelsted Vík defense, Þorleikur Níelsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valur Eyjólfsson. The Fjelsted Vík fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valur Eyjólfsson should have stopped the shot. After 56 minutes of play, Engey Reykholti's Halldór Gunnlaugsson made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valur Eyjólfsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daði Jökulsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Friður Daðason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otti Jónasson kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daði Jökulsson in the 68th minute of play forced Engey Reykholti's goalkeeper Friður Daðason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Daði Jökulsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fjelsted Vík's supporters rose to their feet, but Daði Jökulsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Friður Daðason breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valur Eyjólfsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dónald Valgarðsson went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Daði Jökulsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Friður Daðason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Engey Reykholti could leave the field as winners, despite Fjelsted Vík having more of the ball for most of the match.
