Ölnir Gunnlaugsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Vilmundur Ívarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valgarður Öræfi's supporters rose to their feet, but Vilmundur Ívarsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sváfnir Játvarðarson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vilmundur Ívarsson made a kick off. Kristján Styrmisson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ölnir Gunnlaugsson having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Valgarður Öræfi's goal looked a bit too open when Tumi Gissurarson came free, but Ölnir Gunnlaugsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
