But to his dismay, Shelton Labrecque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Kristján Styrmisson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tístran Bjargmundarson having to interfere. Sváfnir Játvarðarson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Shelton Labrecque went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Garðabæ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Shelton Labrecque scored to the left of an out of position Sváfnir Játvarðarson, making the score, 3-0. 22 minutes into the match, Garðabæ's goal looked a bit too open when Shelton Labrecque came free, but Sváfnir Játvarðarson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Shelton Labrecque left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Crystals fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Shelton Labrecque might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sváfnir Játvarðarson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sváfnir Játvarðarson was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Shelton Labrecque capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Shelton Labrecque really showed his touch with that goal: 6-0. Crystals's Tístran Bjargmundarson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristján Styrmisson in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Shelton Labrecque to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Shelton Labrecque had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sváfnir Játvarðarson. Garðabæ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shelton Labrecque was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Crystals's supporters rose to their feet, but Jóann Sindrason was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sváfnir Játvarðarson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shelton Labrecque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sváfnir Játvarðarson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shelton Labrecque in the 69th minute of play. After 70 minutes of play, Crystals's Jóann Sindrason made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sváfnir Játvarðarson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Shelton Labrecque might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sváfnir Játvarðarson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Shelton Labrecque ran back to his position shaking his head. Sváfnir Játvarðarson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shelton Labrecque, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Garðabæ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shelton Labrecque was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 12-0. Crystals's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
