The tension between the Þýsku Tærnar and the Antik Flatey players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 58 played minutes Þýsku Tærnar got a freekick which was hit by Teitur Gunnbergsson. If Valbergur Hafþórsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Þýsku Tærnar were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Antik Flatey to leave the ground with a draw.
