In the 44th minute, Mjölnir Vilmarsson made a precise shot to the right of Mustafa Arif Devrim. Æsir Ásgarðr's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-5 lead.

The wind increased when Natalio Favila made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Edgar Neacșu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55thth minute of the game Natalio Favila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Akranes's Jean Viana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Natalio Favila in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean Viana saved Akranes from getting behind. Mjölnir Vilmarsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mustafa Arif Devrim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mjölnir Vilmarsson ran back to his position shaking his head. A sloppy throw-in by Bolli Kjaransson in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Æsir Ásgarðr's Jacek Biskupiak. Akranes's Jean Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Favila in the 63rd minute of play. Natalio Favila struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Jean Viana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Æsir Ásgarðr. In the 68th minute, Natalio Favila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Æsir Ásgarðr's goalkeeper Mustafa Arif Devrim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubinho Salgado. After 74 played minutes Æsir Ásgarðr got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Favila. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Rubinho Salgado took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Mustafa Arif Devrim to make any attempt to save it. In the 77th match minute, Akranes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abraham Reyrsson to maneuver through the defense. Æsir Ásgarðr made a substitution. Jean Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Favila in the 89th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Akranes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
