Kaprasíus Randversson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Einir Geislason in the 3rd minute of play. Andy Renner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svanur Oddbergsson in the 12th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Njarðvík Vopnafirði's Reginbaldur Kristbergsson got a free kick in the 13th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Rögnvaldur Vagnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Njarðvík Vopnafirði's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rögnvaldur Vagnsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30thth minute of the game Svanur Oddbergsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Víkingur Æskulýðsskólinn's Andy Renner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andy Renner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svanur Oddbergsson in the 31st minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Víkingur Æskulýðsskólinn's goal looked a bit too open when Svanur Oddbergsson came free, but Andy Renner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Einir Geislason kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Andy Renner came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Njarðvík Vopnafirði's Rögnvaldur Vagnsson. But to his dismay, Rögnvaldur Vagnsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 55th match minute, Njarðvík Vopnafirði was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gýgjar Margeirsson to maneuver through the defense. Kaprasíus Randversson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Engilbjartur Hallsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, Njarðvík Vopnafirði's Svanur Oddbergsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. In the 65th minute, Einir Geislason hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Svanur Oddbergsson in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andy Renner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Vörður Gautsson fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Víkingur Æskulýðsskólinn's protests and gave Vörður Gautsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Vörður Gautsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Játgeir Vignisson during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 79 minutes into the match, Njarðvík Vopnafirði's goal looked a bit too open when Vörður Gautsson came free, but Kaprasíus Randversson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Njarðvík Vopnafirði's Rögnvaldur Vagnsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andy Renner. That made the score 0-3 after 83 minutes of play. Njarðvík Vopnafirði's Kjartan Brynjarsson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 86th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Andy Renner but with some difficulty. In the 92nd minute of the match Einir Geislason shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kaprasíus Randversson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
