Seating: 2493, VIP seats: 216) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sigurgestur Þrándsson kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Task Mývatni's zone, Eymar Ernirsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnúlfur Níelsson came out of the goal and Eymar Ernirsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 5 minutes into the match, Task Mývatni's goal looked a bit too open when Skúli Traustason came free, but Arnúlfur Níelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 7 minutes Task Mývatni's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Svali Kjaransson who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Svali Kjaransson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arnúlfur Níelsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigurgestur Þrándsson in the 10th minute of play forced Task Mývatni's goalkeeper Arnúlfur Níelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Task Mývatni got a freekick which was hit by Öndólfur Freybjörnsson. Svali Kjaransson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnúlfur Níelsson. Task Mývatni's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ingileifur Gautsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnúlfur Níelsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigurgestur Þrándsson in the 24th minute of play forced Task Mývatni's goalkeeper Arnúlfur Níelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Pogoń Siedlce were awarded a corner. Svali Kjaransson went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Svali Kjaransson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Task Mývatni's Arnúlfur Níelsson did a great save. Esekíel Hallbjörnsson hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Task Mývatni's Arnúlfur Níelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigurgestur Þrándsson in the 29th minute of play. Walter Snæbjörnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jan Bjarkason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnúlfur Níelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eymar Ernirsson in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to Task Mývatni getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Esekíel Hallbjörnsson hit a great ball. In the 45th minute Svali Kjaransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnúlfur Níelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdór Pálsson's late challenge caught a Pogoń Siedlce's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdór Pálsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Task Mývatni got a freekick which was hit by Valdór Pálsson. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sigbjörn Finnlaugsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Task Mývatni's goal looked a bit too open when Eymar Ernirsson came free, but Arnúlfur Níelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Arnúlfur Níelsson managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Pogoń Siedlce's Sigurgestur Þrándsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Task Mývatni's Valdór Pálsson got a free kick in the 59th minute. Svali Kjaransson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 59th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jan Bjarkason showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Snæbjörnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Jan Bjarkason didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Task Mývatni's Sigbjörn Finnlaugsson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After a rather tough play, Pogoń Siedlce's Sigurgestur Þrándsson got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute of the match Guðni Erlendsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan Bjarkason skillfully saved the ball. Arnúlfur Níelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sigurgestur Þrándsson in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute, Ingileifur Gautsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pogoń Siedlce's Ingileifur Gautsson got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sigurgestur Þrándsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Eymar Ernirsson came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Pogoń Siedlce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eymar Ernirsson couldn't finish the play. Arnúlfur Níelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eymar Ernirsson in the 92nd minute of the match. Arnúlfur Níelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sigurgestur Þrándsson in the 96th minute. The Task Mývatni support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
