An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Reno in the 15th minute of play forced Pogoń Siedlce's goalkeeper Jan Bjarkason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Marek Wielopolski managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Pogoń Siedlce's Sigurgestur Þrándsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sigurgestur Þrándsson in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marek Wielopolski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jan Bjarkason stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erasmo Reno's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Jan Bjarkason showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Godsk, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Godsk to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Tomas Godsk notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Pogoń Siedlce's Jan Bjarkason. Marek Wielopolski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eymar Ernirsson in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Skallagrimur had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
