He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Task Mývatni reached it. Vallaður Sævarsson hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Walter Snæbjörnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Task Mývatni's supporters rose to their feet, but Walter Snæbjörnsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaprasíus Randversson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute, Walter Snæbjörnsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kaprasíus Randversson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Kaprasíus Randversson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erling Laufarsson in the 35th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Erling Laufarsson made a precise shot to the right of Kaprasíus Randversson. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Arnúlfur Níelsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Svanur Oddbergsson went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Erling Laufarsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kaprasíus Randversson. That made the score 1-5 in the 88 minute of play. Njarðvík Vopnafirði's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Sigbjörn Finnlaugsson scored to the left of an out of position Kaprasíus Randversson, making the score, 1-6. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Task Mývatni had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
