After a defensive mix-up in Rockets FC's zone, Loki Jónasson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Borgar Ósvaldsson came out of the goal and Loki Jónasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, Loki Jónasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Sztorm Keflavik FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rockets FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Geirtryggur Sveinbjörnsson made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Rockets FC defense, Loki Jónasson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Borgar Ósvaldsson. The Rockets FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Borgar Ósvaldsson should have stopped the shot. Borgar Ósvaldsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steinröður Hansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Loki Jónasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loki Jónasson hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 94 minutes on the clock, Þorbjörn Guðjónsson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card.
