Justin Kluivert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Bjarkason having to interfere. Austmar Janusson made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Sigurgestur Þrándsson sent off a good shot on target. After 73 played minutes V.V.V - Venlo got a freekick which was hit by Halldór Jökulsson. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eymar Ernirsson in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 76th minute Eymar Ernirsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austmar Janusson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
