Loki Jónasson's late challenge caught a Task Mývatni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Loki Jónasson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sztorm Keflavik FC's Oliver Adolfsson got a free kick in the 8th minute. Steinn Bjarmason made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walter Snæbjörnsson in the 10th minute. After having played for 15 minutes, Loki Jónasson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sztorm Keflavik FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loki Jónasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Steinn Bjarmason showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigbjörn Finnlaugsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With a little luck, Sztorm Keflavik FC's Steinn Bjarmason got control of the ball when Öndólfur Freybjörnsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigbjörn Finnlaugsson in the 23rd minute of play forced Sztorm Keflavik FC's goalkeeper Steinn Bjarmason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steinn Bjarmason came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Task Mývatni's Sigbjörn Finnlaugsson. But to his dismay, Sigbjörn Finnlaugsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 32nd match minute, Sztorm Keflavik FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Játgeir Jóngeirsson to maneuver through the defense. Sztorm Keflavik FC's Steinn Bjarmason proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Sztorm Keflavik FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walter Snæbjörnsson got free with Steinn Bjarmason in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigbjörn Finnlaugsson in the 43rd minute of play forced Sztorm Keflavik FC's goalkeeper Steinn Bjarmason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sigbjörn Finnlaugsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Steinn Bjarmason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Steinröður Hansson made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Task Mývatni got a freekick which was hit by Walter Snæbjörnsson. Játgeir Jóngeirsson kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Erling Laufarsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Steinn Bjarmason. Sztorm Keflavik FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erling Laufarsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erling Laufarsson in the 64th minute of play forced Sztorm Keflavik FC's goalkeeper Steinn Bjarmason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steinn Bjarmason didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Task Mývatni's Sigbjörn Finnlaugsson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Steinn Bjarmason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vallaður Sævarsson in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Task Mývatni's Erling Laufarsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steinn Bjarmason made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. 75 minutes into the match, Walter Snæbjörnsson notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Sztorm Keflavik FC's Steinn Bjarmason. Steinn Bjarmason was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Steinn Bjarmason came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Task Mývatni's Erling Laufarsson. But to his dismay, Erling Laufarsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. In the 81st minute, Sigbjörn Finnlaugsson made a precise shot to the right of Steinn Bjarmason. Sztorm Keflavik FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. Öndólfur Freybjörnsson struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Steinn Bjarmason didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Task Mývatni. 86 minutes into the match, Sztorm Keflavik FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sigbjörn Finnlaugsson came free, but Steinn Bjarmason reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 87th minute of the match Játgeir Jóngeirsson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Játgeir Jóngeirsson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Sztorm Keflavik FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Játgeir Jóngeirsson hit a great ball. Steinn Bjarmason showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erling Laufarsson in the 89th minute of the match. If Erling Laufarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steinn Bjarmason took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigbjörn Finnlaugsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnúlfur Níelsson made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Steinröður Hansson sent off a good shot on target. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Task Mývatni's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Þorbjörn Guðjónsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Sztorm Keflavik FC's players had a chance to rest. Þorbjörn Guðjónsson made a great header on Sztorm Keflavik FC's corner, it was just that Task Mývatni's Arnúlfur Níelsson managed to reach the ball for a save.
