In the 25th match minute, Rockets FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bergmar Kormáksson to maneuver through the defense. Rubinho Salgado scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Borgar Ósvaldsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rockets FC's Borgar Ósvaldsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Salgado in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Rockets FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ásmar Másson to maneuver through the defense. Rubinho Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Borgar Ósvaldsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubinho Salgado in the 54th minute of play forced Rockets FC's goalkeeper Borgar Ósvaldsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Rockets FC's Borgar Ósvaldsson got control of the ball when Abraham Reyrsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 63 minutes Rockets FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hulki Okyanus who took care of the corner kick. Rubinho Salgado struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Borgar Ósvaldsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Akranes. The crowd rose to their feet as Akranes's Hulki Okyanus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Borgar Ósvaldsson. That made the score 0-4 after 83 minutes of play. 85 minutes into the match, Rubinho Salgado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Borgar Ósvaldsson, 0-5. 88 minutes into the game, Akranes's Rubinho Salgado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Borgar Ósvaldsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. After having played for 94 minutes, Rubinho Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Akranes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubinho Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Akranes left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rockets FC.
