Milutin Vujišić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Milutin Vujišić successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Novica Podunavac in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Milutin Vujišić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bojan Milević in the 21st minute of play forced Gunaroš OFK's goalkeeper Julijan Sremčević to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Smederevo OFK's Radoman Ćuzović in 36 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Julijan Sremčević guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Gunaroš OFK's Andrija Stojkanović got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jugoslav Mirosavljević charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jugoslav Mirosavljević the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Smederevo OFK's Jugoslav Mirosavljević got a free kick in the 45th minute. The attack was good, but when Novica Podunavac in the 47th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Novica Podunavac made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Smederevo OFK booed when Gunaroš OFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Velisav Drenovac didn't get a good kick on the ball. Radoman Ćuzović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julijan Sremčević having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Gunaroš OFK's goal looked a bit too open when Radoman Ćuzović came free, but Julijan Sremčević reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Radoman Ćuzović cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Julijan Sremčević was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Smederevo OFK's zone, Andrija Stojkanović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Milutin Vujišić came out of the goal and Andrija Stojkanović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bojan Milević fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julijan Sremčević having to interfere. In the 87th minute of the match Uroš Nuradinović sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Milutin Vujišić skillfully saved the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Gunaroš OFK's Novica Podunavac sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Milutin Vujišić narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Milutin Vujišić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrija Stojkanović in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Smederevo OFK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
