Srđan Đurovski hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Dejan Zavišić charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dejan Zavišić the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, Užice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dejan Zavišić to maneuver through the defense. After 9 minutes, Slobodan Božilović mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kotraža and the Užice players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Užice booed when Kotraža was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Slobodan Božilović didn't get a good kick on the ball. Budimir Vojisavljević stood somewhat misplaced when Momčilo Cilinšek came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 21 minute. Budimir Vojisavljević didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vukoje Rajković went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the match, Momčilo Cilinšek dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Budimir Vojisavljević, 3-0. Momčilo Cilinšek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute Stepan Vujačić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vojislav Ćulibrk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Veljko Stević to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Vukoje Rajković hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Momčilo Cilinšek took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Budimir Vojisavljević. Budimir Vojisavljević dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Momčilo Cilinšek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the game, Vukoje Rajković was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kotraža's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Užice the free kick. In the 64th match minute, Kotraža was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vukoje Rajković to maneuver through the defense. Momčilo Cilinšek struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Budimir Vojisavljević didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kotraža. After a defensive mix-up in Užice's zone, Veljko Stević stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Budimir Vojisavljević came out of the goal and Veljko Stević tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Budimir Vojisavljević showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veljko Stević, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Užice's Goran Milićev got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Veljko Stević had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Budimir Vojisavljević. Užice's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Veljko Stević was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Goran Milićev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Vojislav Ćulibrk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Momčilo Cilinšek in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Budimir Vojisavljević prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Užice's Budimir Vojisavljević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veljko Stević in the 95th minute of play. The supporters of Kotraža booed when Užice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dejan Zavišić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Veljko Stević received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Budimir Vojisavljević tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kotraža's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
