Ćirilo Kuvekalović recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute Radojica Dinčić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoran Jugović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 17 minutes, Ćirilo Kuvekalović managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sonta FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ćirilo Kuvekalović was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Milanko Vranković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desimir Korov having to interfere. Zoran Jugović was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Radojica Dinčić showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. Desimir Korov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milanko Vranković in the 27th minute of play. Desimir Korov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milanko Vranković, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radojica Dinčić in the 33rd minute of play forced Ruma's goalkeeper Zoran Jugović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Radojica Dinčić was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Ćirilo Kuvekalović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoran Jugović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ruma! The referee gave Sonta FK a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vladislav Stepanović, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ruma's Zoran Jugović. 3-1. Sonta FK's Desimir Korov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Sonta FK from getting a goal against them. If Milanko Vranković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 66 minutes into the match, Ruma's goal looked a bit too open when Radojica Dinčić came free, but Zoran Jugović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 played minutes Ruma got a freekick which was hit by Boro Aleksov. Zoran Jugović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ćirilo Kuvekalović in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Desimir Koča fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Desimir Koča who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Desimir Korov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Desimir Koča fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desimir Korov having to interfere. If Ćirilo Kuvekalović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ruma getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Mateja Đorović hit a great ball. Radojica Dinčić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ćirilo Kuvekalović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Zoran Jugović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zoran Jugović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radojica Dinčić in the 93rd minute of the match. A collision led to Ruma getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Radosav Cenić hit a great ball. Radojica Dinčić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ruma players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sonta FK.
