The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Janko Đoković made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radosav Mirjačić in the 3rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rajko Lojanića during the 5th minute. Antonije Lukovićs short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Bojan Pantović to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignjatije Kalać in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bojan Pantović saved Badovinci from getting behind. 22 minutes into the game, Badovinci's Rajko Lojanića nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Janko Đoković made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Radosav Mirjačić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miloš Kragović kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Husein Videkanić, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 29th minute, Radosav Mirjačić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Badovinci fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The audience was convinced that Radosav Mirjačić's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Janko Đoković was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Janko Đoković stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Radosav Mirjačić's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Badovinci's Rajko Lojanića got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antonije Luković sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Badovinci were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ignjatije Kalać to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Badovinci's zone, Ignjatije Kalać stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bojan Pantović came out of the goal and Ignjatije Kalać tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Husein Videkanić during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Badovinci getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Svetozar Rankić hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Momir Marković in the 62nd minute of play forced Badovinci's goalkeeper Bojan Pantović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radosav Mirjačić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rajko Lojanića had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radosav Mirjačić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Rajko Lojanića managed to get in a good position for a shot. Badovinci's supporters rose to their feet, but Rajko Lojanića was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Janko Đoković breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Badovinci's Rajko Lojanića got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Smederevo's goalkeeper Janko Đoković had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rajko Lojanića. When Boban Batić fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Badovinci's protests and gave Boban Batić a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Smederevo booed when Badovinci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boban Batić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignjatije Kalać sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bojan Pantović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonije Luković in the 94th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Smederevo's zone, Radosav Mirjačić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Janko Đoković came out of the goal and Radosav Mirjačić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Badovinci's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
