Šabac's Rastko Aleksić suffered a concussion in the 16th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 16 minutes into the game, Milija Topić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lazarevo OFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Šabac the free kick. Slobodan Tanasković kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Dragan Milinović struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Matija Graovac didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lazarevo OFK. After a defensive mix-up in Šabac's zone, Jakša Ljubenović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matija Graovac came out of the goal and Jakša Ljubenović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Igor Levkić kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dragan Kračunov. That made the score 1-1 in the 38 minute of play. Šabac's Matija Graovac played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragan Milinović in the 41st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gavrilo Stanojević during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Šabac getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Gavrilo Stanojević hit a great ball. Šabac's Matija Graovac played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragan Milinović in the 49th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Milić Medenica was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Lazarevo OFK defense, Milić Medenica kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dragan Kračunov. The Lazarevo OFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dragan Kračunov should have stopped the shot. If Gavrilo Stanojević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matija Graovac acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nenad Draškić. Dragan Kračunov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milić Medenica in the 77th minute of the match. Slobodan Tanasković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragan Kračunov having to interfere. Dragan Kračunov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milić Medenica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Husein Zorić hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When Milić Medenica came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Šabac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milić Medenica couldn't finish the play. Matija Graovac made an important save on a dangerous shot by Želimir Marunović in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Šabac had played much better football throughout.
