In the 16th minute Puniša Spasić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Đorđe Belojević saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Pojate FK's goal looked a bit too open when Puniša Spasić came free, but Đorđe Belojević reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a left leg Đorđe Belojević saved Pojate FK from getting behind. After 38 played minutes Pojate FK got a freekick which was hit by Savo Ćetrović. If Puniša Spasić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lale Nađ to strike the kick off in the second half. When Pojate FK's Lale Nađ, in the 52nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Pojate FK. In the 53rd match minute, Kovin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Minja Blanuša to maneuver through the defense. Vlade Stamatović took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Radoš Đušić. Kovin's Radoš Đušić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lale Nađ in the 66th minute of play. Đorđe Belojević showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naum Vasić in the 67th minute of the match. With a little luck, Pojate FK's Đorđe Belojević got control of the ball when Puniša Spasić tried to sneak it across the goal line. Radoš Đušić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lale Nađ, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Pojate FK booed when Kovin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Minja Blanuša didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pojate FK's Đorđe Belojević proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Pojate FK from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mile Lešnjak got free with Đorđe Belojević in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 84 minutes into the game, Naum Vasić lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Đorđe Belojević. In the 88th minute, Pojate FK's Vlade Stamatović seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vlade Stamatović the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pojate FK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vlade Stamatović had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 96 minutes into the match, Pojate FK's goalkeeper Đorđe Belojević had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Puniša Spasić. When the match was over Kovin could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pojate FK throughout the match.
