If Josif Gulan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miloš Jorgić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Danilo Štavljanin having to make a save. A hard shot 11 in the game by Ratomir Košutić from a close distance when the talented Radiša Stamenković managed to make a qualified save. Zmajevo's players were relieved. The supporters of Zmajevo booed when Irig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Kaplanović didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Irig getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Igor Kaplanović hit a great ball. In the 16thth minute of the game Josif Gulan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Irig's Danilo Štavljanin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Danilo Štavljanin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miloš Jorgić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Zmajevo's goal looked a bit too open when Radivoj Boljević came free, but Radiša Stamenković reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 44 minutes, Stojmen Urošev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zmajevo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stojmen Urošev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Danilo Štavljanin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stojmen Urošev in the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Josif Gulan was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Josif Gulan got free with Danilo Štavljanin in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miloš Jorgić came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Danilo Štavljanin could save by the left post. Irig were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Zmajevo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Veljko Spasić took the corner. In the 83rd minute, Zmajevo's Josif Gulan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Josif Gulan struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Danilo Štavljanin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zmajevo. Ratomir Košutić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radiša Stamenković having to interfere. Branimir Stamenković kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Zmajevo's Radiša Stamenković played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ratomir Košutić in the 92nd minute of play. Radiša Stamenković came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Irig's Ratomir Košutić. But to his dismay, Ratomir Košutić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Irig's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
