Bogdan Srnić took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jugomir Dabanović. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiosav Muskinja couldn't finish the play. Jugomir Dabanović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Borislav Negovanović, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 15 played minutes Beograd OFK got a freekick which was hit by Mane Bojović. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Borislav Negovanović managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gornji Stupanj OFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Borislav Negovanović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jugomir Dabanović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Beograd OFK booed when Gornji Stupanj OFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milojko Jovandić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Branislav Jurenić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koča Zlatanović having to interfere. Koča Zlatanović stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiosav Muskinja's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Tiosav Muskinja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Koča Zlatanović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiosav Muskinja in the 28th minute of play forced Gornji Stupanj OFK's goalkeeper Koča Zlatanović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beograd OFK's Branislav Jurenić got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Gornji Stupanj OFK's goal looked a bit too open when Tiosav Muskinja came free, but Koča Zlatanović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Branislav Jurenić struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Koča Zlatanović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beograd OFK. 36 minutes into the match, Beograd OFK's Branislav Jurenić sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Koča Zlatanović narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Beograd OFK fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Beograd OFK's Tiosav Muskinja looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Gornji Stupanj OFK getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Aleksandar Ćirković hit a great ball. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gornji Stupanj OFK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Predrag Nosović was slow to take the kick. During this time Beograd OFK's players had a chance to rest. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Koča Zlatanović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiosav Muskinja in the 82nd minute of the match. Aleksandar Ćirković's late challenge caught a Beograd OFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aleksandar Ćirković helped the player get up and apologised. After 84 played minutes Gornji Stupanj OFK got a freekick which was hit by Aleksandar Ćirković. In the 86th minute, Bogdan Srnić fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jugomir Dabanović, passed just outside the right post. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
