Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jevta Žeravica in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavrilo Postin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Kobišnjica's zone, Negomir Vučković stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavrilo Postin came out of the goal and Negomir Vučković tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vršac's Milivoje Nosović proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Vršac from getting a goal against them. Jevta Žeravica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavrilo Postin having to interfere. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kobišnjica's goalkeeper Gavrilo Postin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Milivoje Nosović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Negovan Stasić, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After having played for 25 minutes, Jevta Žeravica managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vršac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jevta Žeravica was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vršac's Milivoje Nosović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Negovan Stasić in the 31st minute of play. Negovan Stasić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Milivoje Nosović having to make a save. In the 34th minute, Negomir Vučković got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jevta Žeravica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Negovan Stasić struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Milivoje Nosović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kobišnjica. Negovan Stasić was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Milivoje Nosović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Negovan Stasić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Negovan Stasić in the 78th minute of play forced Vršac's goalkeeper Milivoje Nosović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vršac's goalkeeper Milivoje Nosović, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute Negovan Stasić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milivoje Nosović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Vuk Radanović fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
