The audience thought a goal was coming when Zdravko Mikša got free with Danko Jančić in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 28 minutes of play, Bujanovac OFK's Mirko Sokolov made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gojko Ješić was left in no man's land by his defense there! 31 minutes into the game, Zdravko Mikša cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Danko Jančić was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Vlasotince FK's Željko Kalajdžić got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Gojko Ješić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mirko Sokolov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mladomir Desnica to make the kick off. The Bujanovac OFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danko Jančić should have stopped the shot. With his leg Gojko Ješić managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Bujanovac OFK's Mirko Sokolov fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Lovrić in the 68th minute of play forced Bujanovac OFK's goalkeeper Danko Jančić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Mirko Sokolov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bujanovac OFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mirko Sokolov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Bujanovac OFK's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Lovrić came free, but Danko Jančić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vlasotince FK's goalkeeper Gojko Ješić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zdravko Mikša fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danko Jančić having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Bujanovac OFK's goal looked a bit too open when Zdravko Mikša came free, but Danko Jančić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
