In the 8th match minute, Bujanovac OFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miloš Aksentijević to maneuver through the defense. Goran Tomasević fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danko Jančić having to interfere. In the 25th minute Goran Tomasević shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danko Jančić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Bujanovac OFK's goal looked a bit too open when Goran Tomasević came free, but Danko Jančić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miloš Aksentijević hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Goran Tomasević struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Danko Jančić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Batajnica. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Josif Borilović during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bujanovac OFK's Josif Borilović got a free kick in the 38th minute. After 42 minutes of play, Batajnica's Goran Tomasević made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danko Jančić was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Batajnica were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mladen Milovac to make the kick off. With a little luck, Bujanovac OFK's Danko Jančić got control of the ball when Goran Tomasević tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mladen Milovac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Danko Jančić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Goran Tomasević managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batajnica's supporters rose to their feet, but Goran Tomasević was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danko Jančić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Milo Maksić hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 65 played minutes Bujanovac OFK got a freekick which was hit by Miloš Aksentijević. Trivun Divljaković was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 66th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Golub Andonovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mirko Sokolov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rastko Tanović kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Mladen Milovac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Danko Jančić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bujanovac OFK's goalkeeper Danko Jančić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Mirko Sokolov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bujanovac OFK booed when Batajnica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josif Golić didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Batajnica eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
