After 19 played minutes Bački Topola OFK got a freekick which was hit by Miladin Minović. Spasoje Sarić's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Filiman Katić skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Spasoje Sarić in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Filiman Katić, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 24th match minute, Deportivo de La Coruña was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Todor Vargec to maneuver through the defense. When Bački Topola OFK's Slavenko Mitić in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Božidar Višelavski came out of the goal and Mitar Budić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mitar Budić took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Božidar Višelavski. Božidar Višelavski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uroš Miranović during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Bački Topola OFK getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Uroš Miranović hit a great ball. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bački Topola OFK! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Slavenko Mitić was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Todor Vargec was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo de La Coruña's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bački Topola OFK the free kick. The supporters of Bački Topola OFK booed when Deportivo de La Coruña was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rade Veljović didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mitar Budić got free with Božidar Višelavski in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 90 minutes into the match, Bački Topola OFK's goal looked a bit too open when Spasoje Sarić came free, but Filiman Katić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Stojmen Kašiković managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo de La Coruña's supporters rose to their feet, but Stojmen Kašiković was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filiman Katić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filiman Katić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Spasoje Sarić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 96 played minutes Bački Topola OFK got a freekick which was hit by Miladin Minović. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
