The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Danilo Stojadinović struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Dragoslav Šaulić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Prigrevica OFK's zone, Koča Koljanović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stepan Urumov came out of the goal and Koča Koljanović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Milić Matanović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Stojadinović in the 34th minute of play forced Prigrevica OFK's goalkeeper Stepan Urumov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milić Matanović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prigrevica OFK's Stepan Urumov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Stojadinović in the 41st minute of play. Milić Matanović's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atanasije Ugrenović read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Dragoslav Šaulić dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Atanasije Ugrenović, 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dragoslav Šaulić to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragoslav Šaulić in the 54th minute of play forced Despotovo OFK's goalkeeper Atanasije Ugrenović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Prigrevica OFK booed when Despotovo OFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ljubo Đoševski didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dragoslav Šaulić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gojko Nešić fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Despotovo OFK's protests and gave Gojko Nešić a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, Tanasije Anđelkov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murat Divanović, 89 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dragoslav Šaulić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atanasije Ugrenović having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Prigrevica OFK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Despotovo OFK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
