The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Golemo Selo's Ratko Eterović nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ognjen Novaković made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 5 minutes into the game, Sima Cvetković was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golemo Selo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Princeton University the free kick. A collision led to Golemo Selo getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Sima Cvetković hit a great ball. Bojan Drpljanin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jevrem Ješić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grujica Karavesović having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Princeton University's Grujica Karavesović threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stevan Gaica, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Žika Vučenić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ognjen Novaković tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bojan Drpljanin charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 23 minutes of play, Golemo Selo's Ratko Eterović made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ognjen Novaković was left in no man's land by his defense there! Golemo Selo's Grujica Karavesović proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Golemo Selo from getting a goal against them. Grujica Karavesović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stevan Gaica in the 27th minute of the match. Princeton University's Ognjen Novaković played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Žika Vučenić in the 31st minute of play. Ratko Eterović recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 35 minutes of play, Golemo Selo's Ratko Eterović made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After a defensive mix-up in Golemo Selo's zone, Stevan Gaica stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grujica Karavesović came out of the goal and Stevan Gaica tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stevan Gaica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Grujica Karavesović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ratko Eterović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Golemo Selo were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Bojan Drpljanin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Žika Vučenić came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Golemo Selo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Žika Vučenić couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Golemo Selo's goalkeeper Grujica Karavesović, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Rastko Latinović fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Princeton University's protests and gave Rastko Latinović a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Golemo Selo booed when Princeton University was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rastko Latinović didn't get a good kick on the ball. Golemo Selo's Borivoje Vučurević shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 67th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ognjen Novaković but with some difficulty. Žika Vučenić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Princeton University's Ognjen Novaković got control of the ball when Ratko Eterović tried to sneak it across the goal line. Golemo Selo's supporters rose to their feet, but Sima Cvetković was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ognjen Novaković breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Velimir Gavalovski fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Princeton University's protests and gave Velimir Gavalovski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute, Velimir Gavalovski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Golemo Selo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
