With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oliver Brđanin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Života Veljković sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Kanjiža OFK getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Strahinja Prošić hit a great ball. After 8 played minutes Kanjiža OFK got a freekick which was hit by Stojmen Vargec. 9 minutes into the match, Mali Zvornik OFK's Ilija Jozić broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Stojmen Vargec kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Života Veljković in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliver Brđanin saved Kanjiža OFK from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Života Veljković in the 14th minute of play forced Kanjiža OFK's goalkeeper Oliver Brđanin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mladen Stević came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Kanjiža OFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mladen Stević couldn't finish the play. If Vukosav Dimić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Nikola Tica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 26 played minutes Kanjiža OFK got a freekick which was hit by Ljuba Vlašić. Života Veljković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Brđanin having to interfere. Stojmen Vargec's late challenge caught a Mali Zvornik OFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stojmen Vargec helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Kanjiža OFK got a freekick which was hit by Stojmen Vargec. 1-0 became the score in the 43rd minute when Mladen Stević elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Života Veljković struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Oliver Brđanin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mali Zvornik OFK.

The wind increased when Života Veljković made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Vukosav Dimić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kanjiža OFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Vukosav Dimić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miodrag Jeremić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mali Zvornik OFK's goalkeeper Miodrag Jeremić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Kanjiža OFK's zone, Nikola Tica stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliver Brđanin came out of the goal and Nikola Tica tried to chip the ball over his head.
