In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Obrenovac FK's goalkeeper Aleksandar Pavićević, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Obrenovac FK's Ristivoje Đukić got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute Živorad Grujić collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. In the 43rd match minute, Obrenovac FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stojan Biševac to maneuver through the defense. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ðurica Kažić stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aleksandar Pavićević didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Radoje Simić went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Stanislav Miljuš fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ćiro Maksimović having to interfere. When Ivica Stojaković fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Novi Sad FK's protests and gave Ivica Stojaković a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Obrenovac FK booed when Novi Sad FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivica Stojaković didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Novi Sad FK's Ćiro Maksimović got control of the ball when Stanislav Miljuš tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ðurica Kažić couldn't finish the play. Aleksandar Pavićević took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ðurica Kažić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aleksandar Pavićević showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ðurica Kažić, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After a rather tough play, Novi Sad FK's Lazar Lalić got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
