Danilo Ognjenović might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ranko Ugrenović. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Danilo Ognjenović ran back to his position shaking his head. After 5th play minutes Života Jovičić shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Ranko Ugrenović and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, Nova Varoš's Trifun Miličković got a free kick in the 7th minute. After 11 minutes of play, Nova Varoš's Danilo Ognjenović made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ranko Ugrenović was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ranko Ugrenović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Života Jovičić, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Tanasije Tomašev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ðorđe Milićev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20thth minute of the game Života Jovičić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ranovac's Ranko Ugrenović was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st match minute, Ranovac was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ðorđe Milićev to maneuver through the defense. Života Jovičić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ranko Ugrenović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Danilo Ognjenović fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nova Varoš's protests and gave Danilo Ognjenović a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd play minute Dejan Beljanski came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tanasije Tomašev. 1-2. Joksim Vitošević sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the game, Milutin Radisavčević was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nova Varoš's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ranovac the free kick. A collision led to Nova Varoš getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Milutin Radisavčević hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute Ðorđe Milićev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanasije Tomašev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ðorđe Milićev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Danilo Ognjenović made a precise shot to the right of Ranko Ugrenović. Ranovac's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 62nd minute, Nova Varoš's Života Jovičić ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ranko Ugrenović. Ranko Ugrenović yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. In the 72nd minute Života Jovičić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ranko Ugrenović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milorad Marjanović's late challenge caught a Nova Varoš's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Milorad Marjanović helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ranovac getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Milorad Marjanović hit a great ball. If Danilo Ognjenović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Nova Varoš booed when Ranovac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rastko Dakić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joksim Vitošević made a great header on Nova Varoš's corner, it was just that Ranovac's Ranko Ugrenović managed to reach the ball for a save. Života Jovičić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ranko Ugrenović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ranko Ugrenović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joksim Vitošević in the 87th minute of play. Ranko Ugrenović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Života Jovičić in the 88th minute of the match. Danilo Ognjenović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Ranko Ugrenović made a huge save. After having played for 97 minutes, Života Jovičić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nova Varoš's supporters crossed their fingers, but Života Jovičić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nova Varoš's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
