Srpko Mrčić who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Sreten Sovrlić when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Blagota Farkaš fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ðurađ Timarac having to interfere. Sreten Sovrlić made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Bojan Terzić sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute, Boris Momić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Srpko Mrčić dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sreten Sovrlić, 2-0. Apatin's Ðurađ Timarac played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ljubo Mirković in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nenad Nestorov in the 31st minute of play forced Donji Milanovac OFK's goalkeeper Sreten Sovrlić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Apatin's goal looked a bit too open when Ljubo Mirković came free, but Ðurađ Timarac reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Bojan Terzić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Apatin's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
