Dimitrije Popović recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cvetin Vučić made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Nikola Korov sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the match, Lajkovac's goalkeeper Cvetin Vučić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikola Korov. In the 18th match minute, BG LAVOVI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Voja Trivunac to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of BG LAVOVI booed when Lajkovac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Puriša Crnčević didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lajkovac's Cvetin Vučić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Lajkovac from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Dimitrije Popović kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cvetin Vučić. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. In the 34th minute Dimitrije Popović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cvetin Vučić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Puriša Crnčević came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Lajkovac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Puriša Crnčević couldn't finish the play. Cvetin Vučić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitrije Popović, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 45th match minute, BG LAVOVI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Čedomir Vargec to maneuver through the defense. The Lajkovac fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Lajkovac's Živko Gojak looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Puriša Crnčević made a kick off. Vitomir Lalević hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Lajkovac's Milan Marković couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 58th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for BG LAVOVI. Lajkovac's Cvetin Vučić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Čedomir Vargec in the 63rd minute of play. Nikola Korov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cvetin Vučić having to interfere. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lajkovac's goalkeeper Cvetin Vučić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Velimir Rajić charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Velimir Rajić the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Puriša Crnčević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Živko Gojak struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Miloš Radojčić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lajkovac. After a rather tough play, BG LAVOVI's Velimir Rajić got a free kick in the 76th minute. BG LAVOVI's Dimitrije Popović got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Živko Gojak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miloš Radojčić having to interfere. 2-2 became the score in the 89th minute when Živko Gojak elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Lajkovac succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though BG LAVOVI had controlled the match.
