In the 15th minute, Novica Đošić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jakov Đoković was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasilije Dinčić in the 26th minute of play forced Fk Sloboda's goalkeeper Boban Arsić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Srđan Kanjak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Voja Drobnjak having to interfere. Voja Drobnjak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Srđan Kanjak in the 32nd minute of the match. If Vasilije Dinčić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Srđan Kanjak to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Novica Đošić got free with Voja Drobnjak in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dragomir Živić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Voja Drobnjak having to interfere. Fk Sloboda's Srđan Kanjak got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fk Sloboda's Srđan Kanjak got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Voja Drobnjak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dragomir Živić, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Toma Bradić kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Srđan Kanjak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fk Sloboda's supporters rose to their feet, but Srđan Kanjak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Voja Drobnjak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute, Srđan Kanjak made a precise shot to the right of Voja Drobnjak. F.C.Novi Bečej's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. A collision led to Fk Sloboda getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Novica Đošić hit a great ball. F.C.Novi Bečej's Voja Drobnjak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Srđan Kanjak in the 84th minute of play. Dragomir Živić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, F.C.Novi Bečej's goalkeeper Voja Drobnjak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Srđan Kanjak. If Srđan Kanjak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in F.C.Novi Bečej's zone, Srđan Kanjak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Voja Drobnjak came out of the goal and Srđan Kanjak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fk Sloboda played a much better game than F.C.Novi Bečej and deserved their victory. The F.C.Novi Bečej players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
